Some observations:
- As an Indian, when I enter Subway, no one says anything. When an American enters, they get a welcome to Subway.
- When I order, no small talk. When an American orders, lots of small talk.

This is especially true of Subway in North Natomas in Raley's plaza in Sacramento, CA but I have noticed this in other Subway's as well.
